Saying Good Bye

We are leaving tomorrow to Disney World and we had to drop Millie off at my great aunts house.  It was a long process.  We even had to call pet control.  Just kidding.  Millie simply licked are face and looked towards the food on the low table.  Millie isn't very good at kind good byes, and I can't wait to see her again.  Maybe when she gets back we can teach her how to do a proper good bye.

Breaking the News To Millie

We still have not told Millie that she won't be coming to Florida with us.  Now I will break the news to her.
Asher: Millie, um, well-
Millie: What?!
Asher: Um, well you know that we are going to Florida and, um, I was going to tell you, well... your not coming with us.
Millie:  WHAT?!  YOUR NOT BRINGING ME?!  WELL WE"LL SEE ABOUT THAT MR. SMARTY PANTS!  WOW!  I GUESS WHATS TO EXPECT FROM YOU NIMRODS!
Asher: Mom!  Get the video camera!  Quick!
Millie: THINK YOUR GONNA CATCH ME ON TAPE, HUH?  TO BAD!   CRASH! BANG! SPLOT!  BOOM! BOOM! BOOM BOOM!  SPLINTER!
Asher: Asher has nothing to say.
Millie: Millie has nothing to say.
Mom:  Oh my...

The Friendly Dog Finals

Asher: Welcome back to the talent show!  Millie and Biscuit will compete against each other.  We will ask Millie a question first.  Millie, you are at the dog park and see the very very very muddy lake. what do you do?
Millie:  I'll take off towards the lake, but I won't get in it.  My owners bribe me with treats to come back.  So of course I go get the treat.
Asher:  Incorrect! You should stay by their side, not make them waste treats!
Millie:  But if I'm good all the time they will never even use the treats!  What a waste of that green paper!
Asher: Millie, just because you got one wrong doesn't mean-
Millie: Doesn't mean I can't win?  Nobody told me the questions had nothing to do with saving green paper!  This stinks!  I declare to have easier questions!
Asher: Okay... while Millie is settling down I'll ask Biscuit a question.  Biscuit, you-
Biscuit: Um... are these questions going to be hard?  Because there is a certain level where I just burst.  So there isn't going to be any about wasting green paper right?  And none about treats? And none about dog parks? And-
Are these questions going to be hard?
Asher: Ah! forget it!  You can start your own show!

Super Dogs ( Continued )

Come back and watch the two compete!
We have found a owner who claims that their dog is the friendliest.  The dogs name is Biscuit.  We shall put Biscuit to the test.  "Okay Biscuit.  Your owner forgets to fill your food dish.  What do you do? "  Biscuit:  "Say, that already happens.  If I get the answer wrong will I have to stop doing what I do already to become the friendliest dog?"  " Yes Biscuit.  You will."  Biscuit:  Okay I'll go with...  sneak into the neighbors yard and see if they are having a steak dinner."  "  Is that what you do already?"  Biscuit:  "Yes, but they never are having a steak dinner.  They are vegetarians."  " Okay...  you got that one correct.  Here's the next question: a guest comes over. What do you do?"  Biscuit: " I'll check their pants for dog treats.  If they have none I'll steal the napkins off their laps while their having dinner."  " You got that one wrong.  But its enough to go to compete against Millie.  Congrats!"  Biscuit:  Whats the prize if I win?  " Free publicity on Asher's Blog."  Biscuit:  "Doesn't Millie already have that? " " She gets a squeaky toy.  Come back soon!"

Super Dogs

Welcome to Millie's talent show!  We will be telling you about the best of the best, starting with the Greyhound.  Greyhound is the fastest dog breed in the world over short distances.  According to Guinness World Records, the highest speed at which any greyhound has been timed is 41.8 mph (67.3km/h) in Wyong, Australia  1994!  Next is the Basset Hound.  The Basset Hound you probably won't see out racing Greyhounds.  This dog is one of the slowest breeds in the world!  Next up is the most strongest dog.  Dogo Argentino is a powerful dog. In some countries it is illegal to keep this breed  This breed is often used as a rescue, police, military or hunting dog.   One of the most smartest dogs is the Labrador Retriever.  The Labrador Retriever, which is a popular family dog due to its friendly nature. These dogs make very good companions due to their loyalty and affectionate natures, and have been used for hunting and retrieving.
Next is the friendliest dog.
The winner for that is none other than the Golden Retriever.

Popcorn

Yesterday my dad had some popcorn so I gave Millie some.  If you threw a kernel in the air Millie could catch it in midair.  In fact to day, Millie caught 7 in a row!  I wonder if she could catch more.  I do know that if you tease Millie will jump on you.  At least I didn't figure it out that way.   Millie loves popcorn.  If you have a dog, does it like popcorn?  Thank you for reading!
" Give me just one kernel and I'll be good.  Just one! "

Millie's Weekend

This weekend Millie didn't start off feeling to well.  At the start she barfed.  She was real mellow the rest of the day.  Then on saturday I opened the window with no screens and Millie nearly jumped out the window, but I held her back. She sniffed the air, barked at squirrels and attempted to jump out the window.  She had lots of fun.  On sunday I went for a walk with my aunt,  Nai Nai ( they came back from Niger!) my mom and Millie and Biscuit.  Millie at first went crazing and attacked Biscuit, but for the walk she and Biscuit we're behaving really well.  At the end of the walk Millie was panting really bad.  She panted for 15 minutes and then went to sleep.  Good night Millie!

"Dog Sled"

Today I took Millie outside and all the grass I found out was ice.  I found out the hard way.  I put Millie's leash on.  Millie pulled across the driveway and then on the grass and when she was on the grass I slipped and fell on my back and the breath was knocked out of me.  I lay on the ground regaining from the fall still holding Millie's leash.  While I was lying on the ground Millie started pulling me across the ice.  I stood back up and took Millie back inside.  I was pretty upset with Millie but when she looked at me with those eyes I just couldn't get mad.  Thus Millie.

Puppy Update

Telling everything going on right now might be long and you might get bored.  So here is a video for you to get the idea. If you have any questions ask.  This video was originally made for my Nia Nia and Ye Ye ( grandma and grandpa) because they have been in Niger, Africa for 6 months.  That's why it says " We miss you" at the end. They come back on Saturday this week and I am very excited.  I think my blog may have helped them get a idea of what is going on.  Well enjoy the video!

One Is Not Enough

The Ring Master
Millie has a lot of toys and sometimes likes to put more than one in her mouth.  Once she had 2 rings in her mouth while playing soccer with a tennis ball.   We call her the ring master.  Another time my sister made a game where instead of throwing one tennis ball for Millie we threw four.  Millie would come back with three in her mouth.

Millie's Way Of Doing Things

Today I woke up to take  Millie outside to go potty, and it took a long time to get her to go down the stairs because every few steps she would lie down to get her tummy scratched.  I put her leash on she went outside and since there were no sticks and they were under the snow, she simply pulled a piece of bark off one of our trees.  Then when she went back inside she ran off with the leash still attached to her collar.  I guess thats just her way of doing stuff.

Snow Day

Yesterday,  it snowed so much we went to school 2 hours late!  I had extra time to play with Millie, but most of the time she was staring out the window looking at the new snow.  She's looking at the snow even when I posted this.  We also did art projects with our extra time, but Millie kept jumping up trying to eat my sister's. Millie nearly got mine when I was showing my mom, but I yanked it away just in time.  I also tested out the snowballs which was pretty fun, but Millie had nothing to do with it and my sister didn't wan't me to test the snowballs on a person.
